Take Your Time Lyrics

I'm gonna make one hour fit in a just a few minutes
I'm gonna get two days for the price of one
There's a one word rhyme and that's called living
Thare's a one word love, means plenty of giving
I'm gonna give it 'til I'm doneBut everybody keeps telling me to take it easy
But time doesn't sit down and wait while I'm trying to get it done
But you're not me, thank God, you can take your time slowly
Makes me fell good just to watch you lie down and have your funTake your time, take your time
And I'll take my own time
Take your time, take your time
And I'll take my own time
Take your time, take your time
And I'll take my own timeI can take it slowly or I can keep runnin' on, runnin' on
When I put one foot in front of the other
To me that doesn't mean walk, that means run
I always wanna start the race before the gates open
I always wanna start the race before I hear the sound of the gunBut everybody keeps telling me to take it easy
But time doesn't sit down and wait while I'm trying to get it done

But you're not me, thank God, you can take your time slowly
Makes me fell good just to watch you lie down and have your funTake your time, take your time
And I'll take my own time
Take your time, take your time
And I'll take my own time
Take your time, take your time
And I'll take my own timeTake your time, take your time
And I'll take my own time
Take your time, take your time
And I'll take my own time
Take your time, take your time
I'll take my own time
Take your time, take your time
I'll take my own timeYou say it'll take you a year, I'll say it does take me a second
But there's room for both of us, just open the room
You know a year of time sees so many changes
But the speed of light in the black of night makes a full moon

During the transitional period of the early 1970s, Paul Kantner (founding member of Jefferson Airplane) recorded Blows Against the Empire, a concept album featuring an ad hoc group of musicians that he dubbed Jefferson Starship, marking the first use of that name. This edition of Jefferson Starship (such as it was) included members of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (David Crosby and Graham Nash) and members of Grateful Dead (Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart), as well as some of the remaining members of Jefferson Airplane (Grace Slick...
