Take a Look At Me Now Lyrics

So long to electric fences
Not much left for me to run from now
Guess I'll turn myself around
I'm putting down my defenses
These wings are gonna take me off the ground
It's freedom's sweetest sound
And I'll admit that I was wrong
and it's obvious that I'm
Finally taking my fist downWould you stop and take a look at me now
Could you stop and take a look at me now
When your standing right in front of me
Your looking at the positive that was negative
Would you stop and take a look at me nowDon't know what you get tomorrow
Not sure I wanna go too well
Isn't that what life's about
So long for the fear and worry
Lets go and you wont be sorry
I'll be the one that gets you outChase the demons out tonight

You can see how fast they run
When you turn the light switch onWould you stop and take a look at me now
Could you stop and take a look at me now
When your standing right in front of me
Your looking at the positive there was negative
Would you stop and take a look at me nowAnd it gets more beautiful it gets more beautiful
As the sun turns into rain
And the hurt turns into shame
And it gets more wonderful it gets more wonderful
Can you get this through your brain
That you cannot lose againWould you stop and take a look at me now
Could you stop and take a look at me now
When your standing right in front of me
Your looking at the positive there was negative
Would you stop and take a look at me now

Greyson Michael Chance (born August 16, 1997) is a 13-year-old child singer from Edmond, Oklahoma, United States who catapulted to Internet popularity in May of 2010 with his live interpretation of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi". His performance, which was held at a local choir festival in April, won the attention of the producers of The Ellen DeGeneres show, who invited him to perform on the show on May 13, 2010. His debut single, "Waiting Outside the Lines", was released in October 2010. His debut album Hold On 'Til The Night is scheduled for release August 2, 2011.

On Ellen, Greyson revealed he had received piano lessons for the past 3 years, but had not undergone any formal vocal training. He cited Lady Gaga as his primary inspiration, stating, "I love how she's so different, and she takes her individuality and she takes her amazing talent that she has and she makes just great songs that are catchy and make you want to dance."

Greyson was on the show on May 26, 2010 again. He performed his own song "Broken Hearts". He got 10,000 dollar from the producers of the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Also Ellen told that Greyson is the first artist on her brand new label called eleveneleven and that they will make a record together.

So far, Greyson's "Paparazzi" rendition has been viewed over 21 million times on Youtube. Along with this cover, he has uploaded two piano-accompanied originals on the site, "Stars" and "Broken Hearts".
