Talk to Me Baby Lyrics

I just talked to my baby on the telephone
She said, "Stop what you're doin' and come on home"
Can't hold out, I can't hold out too long
I get a real good feelin' talkin' to you on the phoneShe said, "Baby, don't you worry, you're my heart's desire
You know I love you, baby, can't stand to see you cry"
Can't hold out, I can't hold out too long
I get a real good feelin' talkin' to you on the phoneI said talk to me baby, talk to me baby
Talk to me baby, talk to me baby
I get a real good feelin' talkin' to you on the phone, oh yeahShe said, "Daddy, don't you hurry, if you walk or fly
You know I'll love you, baby now, until the day I die"
Can't hold out, I can't hold out too long
I get a real good feelin' talkin' to you on the phoneI said talk to me baby, talk to me baby
Talk to me baby, talk to me baby,
I get a real good feelin', c'mon, babyTalk to me, talk to me, talk to me, talk
I said talk to me baby, talk to me baby
Talk to me baby, talk to me baby
I get a real good feelin' talkin' to you on the phoneOh yeah, yeah

In the late 1960s, Roger Earl and Lonesome Dave Peverett first toured America as members of the seminal British band Savoy Brown . Together with guitarist Kim Simmonds, Savoy Brown was on the cutting edge of the emerging British blues-rock scene, and they influenced countless musicians on both sides of the Atlantic. In 1971, wanting to give a more rock 'n roll flavour to the blues-boogie music they were playing with Savoy, Dave and Roger enlisted lead/slide guitarist Rod Price and bassist Tony Stevens, formed a new band, Foghat.
