Talking Ernest Lyrics

shoulda heard what my talking ernest said to your talking pee-wee
he said "last night that furby it was talkin to me
talking in the language of love"and then my talking ernest said to your talking pee-wee
he said "that mannequin head shoulda gone with
the purple eye shadow instead"and then my talking ernest said to your talking pee-wee
he said "i don't mind them pokemon just as long
as they leave me alone"and then my talking ernest said to your talking pee-wee
he said "them garbage pail kids shoulda got a lot more credit
for the wacky things they did"and then my talking ernest said to your talking pee-wee
he said "muhammad ali barbie really floats like a butterfly stings like a bee,
floats like a butterfly stings like a bee, yeah yeah"but talking ernest he was just making small talk
there was something bigger on his mind
"gee, i'm glad it's raining, the gentle rhythm heals the hurt inside
i'm really glad it's raining, the wounded warrior needs a place to hide
everyone needs someone they can count on til the end
what they needed was a hero all i wanted was a friend
all i wanted was a friend"and then my talking ernest said to your talking pee-wee
"hey man, it's over" he said "have you heard the news?

jim varney's dead, he's dead"and then your talking pee-wee said to talking ernest
"but my friend he's not gone i pull the string on your back
and he lives on and on, on and on"but then talking pee-wee turned to muhammad ali barbie
and said "i'm glad i'm not talking ernest 'cause that is a hell of a legacy
that is a hell of a legacy, yeah yeah"
