Taught Me Lyrics

Loading up for the one that comes
There's no time to take a breath
There is no time to speak
Pack tour sheets and let it be
Hurry up as you start to dry
Desert leaves won't take your fault away
Without a leak
Better feeding howling beasts
Let me out when it starts to sound
And when I'll be back
I swear it will be better
Let me suggest the way un
Show me the road to the edge
Show me the best
Sometimes it's use
To fight alone
Now that we are close to the end
Show me the best

As you said
This fall won't taste innocence
(And when I'll back)
And when I'll be back
I swear it will be better
Hurry up as you start to dry
And when you'll be back
My head won't lose the bearing
Stab me right here con my chest
Show me the road to the edge
Show me the best
Sometimes it's use
To fight alone
Now that we're close to the end
Show me the best
As you said:
"Fall down with me"
I said:
"YEAH!"
I was starting to think
That getting bad was getting old
But everybody was dressed
With the worst of the faces
Not even a chance
To start with this
It's like a stop midway in the air
It takes guts to start from the end
To calle back your senses
After you have been edad
Every second with you
Is the world at the end of the world
Every hour spent un tour café
Every single mistake
Every time you craved it back
Show me the road to the edge
Show me the best
Sometimes it's use
To fight alone
Now that we're close to the end
Show me the best
As you said:
"Fall down with me"
I said:
"YEAH!"

Living Colour is a funk metal group formed in New York city in 1984. They signed to Epic Records in 1987 and released their first album, Vivid, in 1988.

Stylistically their music is a creative fusion influenced by guitar-based rock such as hardcore punk and heavy metal, and traditional African-American music such as jazz, funk, and hip-hop. They are linked to the funk metal/alternative metal movement of the late 1980s typified by bands such as Fishbone, Jane's Addiction, Primus, Faith No More, and 24-7 Spyz. They are best remembered for the hit Cult of Personality, which won a Grammy Award for best hard rock performance in 1989. They were also named Best New Artist at the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards. The singer, Corey Glover, had a role in the movie 'Platoon', directed by Oliver Stone.

The first two albums bassist Muzz Skillings contributed to the music, before leaving in 1992 due to creative differences. They were inactive from 1995-2000, and since their return have operated as a regular touring unit, as well as releasing one new studio release, Collide0Scope, one compilation of b-sides & rarities, and one live album from their early performances at the now mythical CBGB's. All four have released solo albums and session work, Doug Wimbish and Will Calhoun also are in both Jungle Funk and Head>>Fake, Corey Glover is also doing musical theatre, Vernon Reid has several projects, and Wimbish also has returned to various projects related to his other longstanding collaborators Adrian Sherwood, Keith Leblanc, and Skip McDonald.

The band are set to release their new album, The Chair in the Doorway, on September 15th of this year on Megaforce.
