Taxi Ride Lyrics

Lily is dancing on the table
We've all been pushed too far
I guess on days like this
You know who your friends areJust another dead fag
To you that's all
Just another light missing
On a long taxi ride, taxi rideAnd I'm down to your last cigarette and
This we are one crap as you're moving
This thing you call love she smiles
Way too muchBut I'm glad you're on my side
Sure I'm glad you're on my side stillYou think you deserve a trust fund
Just because you want one
Sure you talk the talk when you need to, I fear
The whole world is starting to believe youJust another dead fag
To you that's all
Just another light missing
In a long taxi line, taxi lineI'm down to your last cigarette and
This we are one crap, as you're moving

This thing you call love she smiles
Way too muchBut I'm glad you're on my side
Sure I'm glad you're on my side, stillLily is dancing on the table
We've all been pushed too far today
Even a glamorous bitch can be in need
This is where you know the honey from the killer beesI'm glad you're on my side
Sure I'm glad you're on my side
Sure I'm glad you're on my side, stillGot a long taxi ride, got a long taxi ride

A gifted artist in every sense of the word - writer, singer, musician and performer - Michael Tolcher deftly blends unfailing melodic and organic pop sensibilities with a deep understanding of soul and urban grooves drawn from his Southern upbringing. Hailing from Lovejoy, GA, Michael began his musical education while singing in the church choir. However, Michael's greatest childhood aspiration was to be an Olympic athlete. He was well on his way, running track at Georgia Tech, until an injury sidelined his career and caused him to question what he wanted out of life.
