Tell Me Everything Lyrics

If I can have what I want
I'll just want what I got
I've told myself a million times
That's the truth, but it's notI could give you some lessons
On how to cry all night
I know the hurting's only started
And it might never stopOh Angeline
You want some help from me now
Now since he left you alone
Don't say it ain't so
'Cause you traded me for him
Not so long agoWell you were everything to me
You were everything to me
I don't know why?
But your pain's such a pleasure to see
So baby tell me everythingSo pardon me if I don't cry
'Cause your love is on the shelf
After all you're so good

At lookin' out for yourselfYou might hate me for sayin' so
But that's all right
You can hate the whole world
But it ain't gonna helpOh, Angeline
You're only wastin' your time
Lookin' for my sympathy
I hope you're satisfied
Now I only wanna laugh
When I hear you cryYou were everything to me
You were everything to me
Now he's done it to you
Like you did it to me
So baby tell me everythingOhh
Ho, guess you never thought that you'd be falling in love
You've lost everything that you're dreaming of
How can I let you go without letting you know? You were everything to me
You were everything to me
I don't know why
But your pain is such a pleasure to see
So baby tell me everythingBaby tell me everything
(Everything to me)
Baby tell me everything
Someone did it to you
Like you did it to me
So baby tell me everything

Cheap Trick is a U.S. rock/power pop band from Rockford, Illinois, that gained popularity in the late 1970s. The band members are Rick Nielsen (guitarist and main songwriter), Bun E. Carlos (born Brad Carlson) (drums), Robin Zander (vocals and guitars), and Tom Petersson (bass guitar). Though they have had only brief flirtations with mainstream success, Cheap Trick has held a substantial following through regular touring and a hard-edged yet blissful pop sound that combines the tunefulness of The Beatles with the speed and energy of punk rock. The band's biggest hits over the years include "I Want You to Want Me", "Surrender", "Dream Police", "Don't Be Cruel" (a cover of Elvis Presley's hit), and "The Flame". Their most recent release, The Latest, has gained critical acclaim. They also wrote and performed the theme song for "The Colbert Report".

Nielsen and Petersson originally formed the group as "Fuse" in 1967, with Carlos joining the group several years later; however, when Zander joined as vocalist in 1972, the group was renamed Cheap Trick. Zander is considered one of the best rock vocalists. Tom Petersson was known for playing custom made 8, 12, and even a 18 string custom bass made by Modulus for Tom in 1981.

Rick Nielsen also has a penchant for unusual instruments. He owns and plays a five-necked solidbody electric guitar (it can be seen in the video for the song "She's Tight", among others).
