Tequila Town Lyrics

Hey buddy, what's your deal?
It's been a long week
Yeah, I know how you feelYou're thinking life's crazy
But you're not alone
Just look around everybody's here
Got a story of their ownTime to just play it up
And Debbie's get hitched
And the boss of mineI'll tell you he's a son of a
Which brings us back you
You know it's gonna be alright'Cause we're gonna take a little trip tonight
And go down let's go down
We're gonna make a little run to Tequila TownMay take a bottle or a shot or two
How long you stay we'll, it's up to you
No, don't need a plane, a train or carYou can get there from everywhere, anywhere you are
One little party or a pick me up
Just go down, down, down to Tequila TownThere's a little place I sometimes go
To celebrate or if I'm feeling low
Come along with me now what do you say

A little salt and lime we'll be on our wayLet's go down, let's go down
We're gonna make a little run to tequila town
May take a bottle or a shot or twoHow long you stay well it's up to you
No, don't need a plane, a train or a carYou can get there from everywhere, anywhere you are
One little party or a pick me up
Just go down, down, down to Tequila TownWell, I know it's temporary fix
But in times like this it really does the trickLet's go down, let's go down
Let's go down' let's go down
We're gonna make a little run to Tequila TownMay take a bottle or a shot or two
How long you stay well, it's up to you
No, don't need a plane, a train or a carYou can get there from everywhere, anywhere you are
One little party or a pick me up
Just go down, down, down, everybody now
Down, down, down to Tequila TownGo down let's go down
Let's go down, let's go down
We're gonna make a little run to Tequila TownGo down let's go down
Let's go down, let's go down
We're gonna make a little run to Tequila Town

Phil Vassar (born May 28, 1964 in Lynchburg, Virginia) is an American country music artist, most notable for his songwriting and use of a piano as his most prominent backing instrument.

Prior to signing with Arista Records in 2000, Vassar's songwriting talent was no stranger to the airwaves, penning number-one hits for some of the most popular country artists of the late 1990s: Jo Dee Messina ("Bye, Bye" and "I'm Alright"), Alan Jackson ("Right on the Money") and Tim McGraw ("My Next Thirty Years" and "For A Little While"). He has also written songs for Collin Raye ("Little Red Rodeo") and Blackhawk ("Postmarked Birmingham").

Vassar also co-owns a piano bar outside Nashville, Tennessee, where he performed his own material prior to signing a record deal.
