Texas Never Whispers (Watery, Domestic) Lyrics

Here we go
She's on a hidden tableau
Just a 2 for 1 and the 2 for 1
Is right down my alley side
I'm just a wasted behindDon't you know
It's an easy thing
When it's lost
Doesn't show whenThe ends are frayed
And it's tossed out
Lined with silver thread
I've seen your wasted behindShe's so lackadaisical
Should have been
A west coast bride
Back seat on Electra GlidePilots flying, drive by fades
Don't hold your breath too long
This tunnel is a Texas mile
Callow teasing yellow eyes
Bleacher dates the second prizeCherry pickin' favorites

My dash was locked
I guess I feel fine
The way the river bends
The woman's bending over meBa-da-da-da ba-da-da-da
(Texas, Texas, Texas, Texas)

Pavement are an American indie rock band that formed in Stockton, California in 1989. For most of the period to 1999, the band consisted of Stephen Malkmus (vocals, guitar), Scott "Spiral Stairs" Kannberg (guitar, vocals), Mark Ibold (bass), Steve West (drums) and Bob Nastanovich (percussion, vocals). During that period, and since, they have frequently been described as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the American underground of the '90s. While their split in 1999 was reportedly rather acrimonious, they undertook a well-received reunion tour during 2010.
