Thank God for Music Lyrics

Long ago and far away
the world was a silent place,
people had no songs to sing
no smile upon their face,
then one day a voice was heard
repeating a melody,
other voices soon joined in
setting the spirit free.
Thank God for music, thank God for music
thank God for music, rhythm and harmony
Every day in every land
the sound and the music move,
spread it's magic to every heart
and the whole world too,
oh the music can touch you deep
and bring out the love in you,
take you to that special place and
make all your dreams come true.

Thank God for music, thank God for music
thank God for music, rhythm and harmony
Now the sound is everywhere
the rhythm of life in you,
inspiration to love and share
and lighten up the mood,
sing about the simple things
sing a song of love,
satisfy your heart's desire
raise your voices up.
Thank God for music, thank God for music
thank God for music, rhythm and harmony
thank God for music, thank God for music
thank God for music, rhythm and harmony
thank God for music, thank God for music
thank God for music, rhythm and harmony
thank God for music, thank God for music
thank God for music, rhythm and harmony…
