Thank You for the Cross Lyrics

You died for me
Gave your life so freely
Every debt you paid, Jesus made a way
You ransomed me
Shared your blood so innocently
A perfect sacrifice, now we're reconciled through Christ
So I (thank you)...
Thank you for the blood
-yes I do
Thank you for the blood you shed
- I gotta tell you
Thank you for the crown
- I'm grateful for the crown
The crown of thorns upon your head
-You didn't have to do it but you did
You didn't have to do it but you did
-I'm mighty grateful that
You didn't have to die so that I could live

But I thank you for, thank you for the crossYou cared for me
Before I even came to be
Knowing that I would need your grace
Jesus you made a way
You took my place
You endured the cross despite the shame
You looked in time and saw me and
Said it was worth it all
Said it was worth it all
So I (thank you)Thank you for the blood
Thank you for the blood you shed
Thank you for the crown
The crown of thorns upon your head
You didn't have to do it but you did
You didn't have to die so that I could live
But I thank you , thank you for the crossLove came
Love died
Love paid the sacrifice for me
It was worth it all
It was worth it all
X3The earth shook
Heaven spoke
Love took
The keys that broke the chains
It was worth it all
It was worth it all
X3Love wins
Love rose
Love lives forever more in me
I was worth it all
I was worth it all
X3Death could not keep you in the ground
Death could not keep you in the ground
Cause I was worth it all
I was worth it all
X2I was worth it all x4
But I Thank you, thank you for the cross
Love came
Love died
Love paid, the sacrifice for me.
