That's All Right (Mama) Lyrics

Well, now that's all right, mama
That's all right for you
That's all right mama, anyway you doBut, that's all right, that's all right
That's all right now mama, anyway you doWell mama, mama she done told me
Papa told me too
They love you leavin' son now
We'll be there for youThat's all right, that's all right
That's all right now mama, anyway you do
Yeah manBaby one and one is two
Two and two is four
I love that woman but I've to let her goBut, that's all right, that's all right
That's all right now mama, anyway you doBabe now you don't want me, why not tell me so?
You won't be bothered with me
'Round you have no moreBut, that's all right, that's all right
That's all right now mama, anyway you doThat's all right, that's all right
That's all right now mama, anyway you do

Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup (also known as "Pop" Crudup) (August 24, 1905 – March 28, 1976) was a delta blues singer and guitarist. He is best known outside blues circles for writing songs later covered by Elvis Presley (and since covered by dozens of other artists), such as "That's All Right Mama", "My Baby Left Me" and "So glad you're mine", and by many claims, "Blue Suede Shoes". Born in Forest, Mississippi and living and working in throughout the South and Midwest as a migrant worker for a time, he and his family returned to Mississippi in 1926.
