That's the Way Lyrics

That's the way - Honeycombs UK 1965 That's the way there's nothing in it
That's the way we should begin it
Take my hand, I leave you oh, so gently
That's the way, you send me reeling
That's the way, I hit the ceiling
With your sighs and in your eyes I see that
That's the way we'll fall in love Tell me (Tell me) That you really love me (I love you)Tell me you really need me, so I am sure That's the way, to set me singing
That's the way, are those bells ringing? Though you're shy, you know I really want you all the way
Don't keep me waiting, no delay, no, no, no hesitating
Here we go, just keep on holding tight and
That's the way to fall in love Tell me (Tell me) That you really love me (I love you)Tell me you really need me, so I am sure That's the way, there's nothing in it
That's the way, we should begin it
Take my hand, I leave you oh, so gently
That's the way, we'll fall in love
We'll fall in love... We'll fall in love We'll fall in love... We'll fall in love

The Honeycombs were a pop rock group which formed in 1963 in London, England. The band's original lineup consisted of Denis D'Ell (vocals, harmonica), Martin Murray (guitar), Alan Ward (guitar), John Lantree (bass) and Ann "Honey" Lantree (drums, vocals). One night the group, known then as The Sheratons, was playing in a London pub, The Mildmay Tavern in the Balls Pond Road. In the audience were Ken Howard and Alan Blaikley, a very prolific British songwriting team, who later wrote hits for such artists as Lulu, Elvis Presley, Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich and Petula Clark.
