The Band Lyrics

Ive played that song from long ago
When every morning longed to fall
It broke my sighs and my regrets
It stumbled on the stepsYouve build for climbing towards me
Now it feels like sinners in the sunWhen I said, I said, "Id die for you"
Or was it in my head?
I took you down on ouzo
And now I think Id rather see you deadI said, "Id die for you"
Or was it in my head?
You took me down on ouzo
And then you said you'd rather see me dead, deadIf my depression stood the wind
I spat the devil up his chin
It couldnt do me any harm
It roughed my steel and shut my mouthMy late impression
Oh, that rain thats itching on my skinWhen I said, I said, "Id die for you"
Or was it in my head?
I took you down on ouzo
And now I think Id rather see you deadI said, "Id die for you"

Or was it in my head?
You took me down on ouzo
And then you said you'd rather see me dead, deadWell, I mean
Hold me, scratch my shoulder
Fold me, sue me, watch me going madI said, I said, "Id die for you"
Or was it in my head?
I took you down on ouzo
And now I think Id rather see you deadI said, "Id die for you"
Or was it in my head?
You took me down on ouzo
And then you said you'd rather see me dead, dead

Mando Diao are a rock band from Borlänge, Sweden. According to the band, the name Mando Diao has no meaning at all, but rather appeared to band member Björn Dixgård in a dream. Their sound is influenced by The Animals and Oasis. The roots of Mando Diao date back to 1995 when Björn Dixgård was a member of a band called Butler. Band members came and went; four years later, the remaining line-up chose to proceed more seriously in their musical efforts. Björn Dixgård and Gustaf Norén locked themselves up in a summer house and spent six months writing songs.
