The Best Fun I Ever Had Lyrics

You were the best fun I ever had
You gave me a love that couldn't be bad
You taught me things that I thought were rude
Oh, you were the best girl I ever knew
You were the best girl I ever knewWe were a couple so much in love
We gave to each other over and above
You made my life and I'm glad
Oh, you were the best fun I ever had
You were the best fun I ever hadFrom the time we met till the time you left
It was one big beautiful dream
Even LSD with its potency
Couldn't match the thrills we've seenYou were the best fun I ever had
Gave me a love that couldn't be bad
Taught me things that I thought were rude
Oh, you were the best girl I ever knew
You were the best girl I ever knewNow as I look back on those good old days
The singing nun was all the rage
You'll see engraved around my eyes

A sadness I cannot disguiseFrom the time we met till the time you left
It was one long glorious affair
Even Casanova for all his know-how
Would have died had he been thereYou were the best fun I ever had
Gave me a love that couldn't be bad
Taught me things that I thought were rude
Oh, you were the best girl I ever knew
You were the best girl I ever knewFrom the time we met till the time you left
It was nothing short of superb
Even D.H. Lawrence for all his novels
Would have been shocked had he heardYou were the best fun I ever had
Gave me a love that couldn't be bad
Taught me things that I thought were rude
Oh, you were the best girl I ever knew
You were the best girl I ever knew, I'm glad, I'm gladYou were the best fun I ever had
You were the best fun I ever had
You were the best fun I ever had
You were the best fun I ever had
You were the best fun I ever had
