The Best In Me (Radio Version) [Live] Lyrics

He saw the best in me
When everyone else around
Could only see the worst in me
Can I tell y'all one more time? One more time?I said he saw the best in me
When everyone else around me
Could only see the worst in me
I wish I had a witness tonight, all I need is oneHe saw the best in me
When everyone else around me
Could only see the worst in me
Does anybody have their testimony? When folks wrote you off
Said you would never make it
What did he see?
He saw the best in meWhen everyone else around me
When everyone else around could only see the worst in me
Can I tell you all one more thing?
I just need to tell you one more thing, listen to thisSee, he's mine, and I am his
It doesn't matter what I did
He only sees me for who I am

Does anyone know that tonight?See he is mine, and I am his
Said it doesn't matter what I did
See, he only sees me for who I am
Help me sing itSaid he is mine
(He is mine)
Said it doesn't matter what I did
He only sees me for who I amHe is mine, I am his
It doesn't matter what I did
He only sees me for who I am
I am so glad that he is mine
It doesn't matter what I did
He only sees me for whom I amHe saw the best in me
When everyone else around
Could only see the worst in me
I wish I had a witness tonightCan I ask ya'll one question?
The question is simply this
What did he see?
(He saw the best)I can't get no help up in here
Because there's some folk in here that people have wrote you off
Said you would never amount to anything
Said that you would never end up being anywhere
But Myron, tell 'em one more time, what did he see?
He saw the bestWhen momma said you would never be nothin'
When aunties and uncles said you would never amount to anything
When daddy didn't come home anymore
He didn't look at you and say that you weren't going to make it
God looked at you and what did he see, what did he see?
He saw the best, the bestWhat did he see?
(The best)
I said, what did he see?
(The best)
I said, what did he see?
(The best)
I said, what did he see?
(The best)
I said, what did he see?
(The best)
I said, what did he see?
(The best)
He saw the best in me

Singing since age four, Marvin Sapp has shared the stage with many gospel notables and his gift is celebrated across musical genres. While he has enjoyed a decorated music ministry receiving Stellar Awards, Gospel Music Excellence Award as well as Grammy, Soul Train Music and Dove Award Nominations, he has also been honored in his hometown of Grand Rapids Michigan. Recognized for his professional and philanthropic efforts, Pastor Sapp has received the city’s highest African American honor, a Giants Award , as well as the Frederick Douglas award from the National Association of Negro and Professional Women’s Club.

Not complacent, yet pressing towards the mark currently as Founder and Senior Pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church, one of the fastest growing churches in Western Michigan, Marvin is innovative in his approach to winning the lost and edifying the believer. As a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Pastor Marvin is committed to his community and enjoys taking the message to the masses. In its inaugural year, the ministry has initiated a Full Life approach with an emphasis of addressing the spiritual, physical and mental needs of the body. By no means is Pastor Marvin and the Lighthouse family resting on its laurels or taking credit for the well-rounded and effective ministry approach. In fact, with humility, they acknowledge they have found the formula for a successful ministry based on the Bible and cultivated through an intimate relationship with God.

Pastor Marvin is united in covenant to First Lady MaLinda Sapp, a gifted speaker, local
college professor and Limited Licensed Psychologist, who also serves as Administrative Pastor. They have three wonderful children; Marvin II, Mikaila and Madisson.
