The Best Is Yet To Come Lyrics

You see yourself through, you're so small
Running into every brick wall, it's not as far as you can go
The road is twisting, turning, our life is living, learning
There's so much more for you to know
If you could lock the past away, step back through the doorway
This ride has just begun
If I could change your point of view, is there some way I can show you?
The best is yet to come
Not every problem can be solved so easily
Not every answer is the one
Above the flood of emotion, it's all about forward motion
Define your place in the sun
If you could lock the past away, step back through the doorway
This ride has just begun
If I could change your point of view, is there some way I can show you?
The best is yet to come
Try to hide, it's all inside, you can find a place where the pain
And you can follow it, if you're spitting truth, bullet proof

Crashing through the walls that separate me and you
Now you're fine with every thing you lose
Your path clears with everything you choose
If you could lock the past away, step back through the doorway
This ride has just begun
Change your point of view, is there some way I can show you?
The best is yet to come
If you could, lock the past away, step back through the doorway
This ride has just begun
If I could change your point of view, is there some way I can show you?
The best is yet to come
This life has just begun
Is there some way I can show you?
The best is yet to come

Formed in Baltimore, MD, United States in 1998, SR-71 has produced three major-label albums: Now You See Inside, Tomorrow, and Here We Go Again.

After becoming instant Top 40 material with their driving hit Right Now and the lesser-known Politically Correct on their first album, the band slowly shied from the limelight for its second album, part of the reason the third album was not released in the US.

In recent days lead singer Mitch Allan has pursued a solo career, reworking some SR-71 songs and creating some of his own. SR-71 split in 2007, but reformed in 2009.

The name of the band came from SR-71 Blackbird, a retired supersonic surveillance aircraft of the United States Air Force.
