The Big Revival Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
Get ready for the big revival
Cmon everybody get in the van
There's a little church on Eagle Mountain
Its called the Blood of the Blessed LambIf your faith ain't strong enough child you might wind up dead
Praise the Lord and pass me a copperheadReverend Jones, he struts and dances
While the guitar's playin' Amazing Grace
He testifies in tongues of fire
With tears of joy runnin' down his faceHe ain't sure and we ain't sure exactly what he said
But praise the Lord and pass me a copperheadYou won't find many hypocrites
Thatll take a chance on gettin' bit

But a true believer can survive
Rattlesnakes and cyanide, look out! When you hold that deadly viper
Keep the Holy Spirit in your mind
Do not lose your concentration
Or that serpent's surely bound to strikeEither way you won't forget the first time that you said
Praise the Lord and pass me a copperhead, ooh, that's right
Praise the Lord and pass me a copperhead! That's right
I'll take that one right there

Montgomery Gentry is a country music duo, founded in the 1990s, consisting of Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry. Eddie Montgomery is the older brother of John Michael Montgomery. Some sources say that Troy Gentry is the son of Bobbie Gentry, which is untrue. Troy's parents are Lloyd and Pat Gentry. Eddie, Troy, and John were in a band called Early Tymz. Eddie and Troy continued to perform after John left to pursue a solo career. The duo went through several name changes before they decided to call themselves Montgomery Gentry. Eddie Montgomery is bald and seemingly always wears a hat. Eddie also has a habit of twirling his microphone on stage, which has become somewhat of a signature.

The band has released five CDs including "Some People Change" which was released in 2006
