The Bridge Lyrics

When I was young I dreamed of you
Far and away, my dreams come true
Now I know what love has done
Children of mine, we all are oneWhen I was young I looked to you
You were the world I never knew
Through the years we all have grown
Knowing your love forever strongWould you walk away if I raised my voice?
Do you think I taught you well?
Time after time after timeIn younger days I felt for you
With all the pain that we went through
We believe the one above
Father and Son, forever loveHand in hand, the future's here
Now that we crossed the bridge of tears
Finding truth and facing fears
We can walk on, the road is clearWalk across the bridge
Take my hand
Walk across the bridge
Come to meWould you walk away if I raised my voice?

Do you think I taught you well?
Time after time after timeWalk across the bridge
Come to me
Walk across the bridgeYou'll never be far away
You'll never be far away
You'll never be far away

The Bee Gees, originally made up of three brothers: Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb (died 2012), and Maurice Gibb (died 2003), have been successful for most of their 40-plus years of recording music. They had two distinct periods of exceptional success: as a pop act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and as a foremost act of the disco music era in the late 1970s. The Gibb brothers were born on the Isle of Man, UK to English parents in 1946 (Barry Alan Crompton Gibb, September 1) and 1949 ( twins Robin Hugh Gibb and Maurice (pronounced "Morris") Ernest Gibb, December 22).
