The Couples Lyrics

Falling in love is sometimes hard
Writing a love song is even harder
Better to leave that to someone else
Someone madderBut this is a song about feeling left out
And this is a song about not being ready
To do what youve been told to doThis is the last drink Im ever gonna have
This is the way that its making me feel
I used to come here to have a good time
But I could feel like this at homeAnd the couples walk by and they give me the eye
And I can see that the girls just a little bit jealous
Well anytime you want to swap just stop meYes people have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
People have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
People have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
Youre not lonely
I am babySo the couples walk by and they give me the eye
And it seems like the boys got a thing for me
Well my advice is not to get involvedAnd closing times now non-existant
So I could stay till judgement day

I could stay till I get bored of the couples walking byYes people have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
People have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
People have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
Youre not lonely
I am babyOooh ooohhh
Youre not lonely
I am babyA million people in the cosmos tonight
Must be rare in this age of life
But none of them can hold a candle to meAnd the couples walk by and they give me the eye
But thats not what I what I walk
Around the block and never come back one day
I walk around the block and never come back one dayYes people have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
People have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
People have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
Youre not lonely
I am babyOooh ooohhh
Youre not lonely
I am baby
