The Dubious Circus Company Lyrics

Would you like to see-ee
Would you like to see-ee
Would you like to see our show
Would you like to see-ee
Would you like to see-ee
Would you like to see our showWould you like to meet the lion tamer or the man
Who kicks up the sawdust in the nicest way?
Would you like to see the fire-eater take the stand?
The flames don't affect him in the slightest way
If you're feeling curiously interested in
Something new, then come on through, the show will soon beginBut if you come when the lights are down and ev'ryone is out of town
We'll put on a show, yes the best that you've seen yet
Yes if you come when it's late at night and ev'rybody's out of sight
We'll give you a performance you never will forget.Would you like to see-ee
Would you like to see-ee
Would you like to see our show
Would you like to see-ee
Would you like to see-ee

Would you like to see our showTake your time and make your mind up ev'rybody's here
Clowns and dwarfs and elephants, and lots of circus cheer.Would you like to meet the lady with the crystal ball?
She looks in the future and she sees it all
Would you like to have a drink or two with big fat Joan?
She knows what it's all about at twenty stone
If you're feeling curiously interested in
Something new, then come on through, the show will soon beginBut if you come when the lights are down and ev'ryone is out of town
We'll put on a show yes the best you've seen yet
Yes if you come when it's late at night and ev'rybody's out of sight
We'll give you a performance you never will forget.Would you like to see-ee
Would you like to see-ee
Would you like to see our show
Would you like to see-ee
Would you like to see-ee
Would you like to see our showTake your time and make your mind up ev'rybody's here
Clowns and dwarfs and elephants, and lots of circus cheer.

Clifford Thomas Ward - Born 10 February 1944, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire — 18 December 2001 Clifford T. Ward typified the early 70s bedsitter singer-songwriter with a series of albums that were at best delightful and at worst mawkish. Ward left grammar school before A-levels to work as a clerk, but by 1962 was fronting local beat group Cliff Ward and the Cruisers. The group changed their name to Martin Raynor and the Secrets and made their recording debut for EMI Records in 1965, before recording several more tracks as the Secrets for CBS Records.
