The Front Line of Sanity Lyrics

Now my friend, we stand at the end
We've failed to find the way outThe falling of messiahs and the raising of funds
Is a procession of liars, thieves and wrongs
The new order of the land is to live in fear
Now decide, now decideWhere you stand
Look to the edges of earth
It's barren landThe falling of messiahs and the raising of funds
Is a procession of liars, thieves and wrongs
The new order of the land is to live in fearThe front line of sanity is changing for the worst
We can't return, we can't advance
We're stuck in perpetual doomA parade of horribles has come into town
Grabs you from below and pulls you straight down
Come down, inside, leave it to a fool to try and hideThe front line of sanity is changing for the worst
An altered form is coming from the crux of the human soul
The front line of sanity is changing for the worst
It's all too real, when you can't feel we're in painNow, my friend, we stand at the end
We've failed to find the way outThis is not a passing movement, our cultures soon to fall
Seeing, being, bleeding is believing

We have had to end our lives
The time has come to standWhat is and will, forever, be nothing
The front line of sanity is changing for the worst
Grabs you from below, it pulls you downAn altered form is coming from the crux of the human soul
The front line of sanity is changing for the worst
We can't return, we can't advance
We're stuck in perpetual doomA parade of horribles has come into town
Grabs you from below and pulls you straight down
Come down, inside, leave it to a fool to try and hide

Skinless was a brutal death metal band from New York, USA. They formed in 1992 by vocalist Sherwood Webber and guitarist Noah Carpenter. Undergoing countless line-up changes early on, the band finally stabilized with the arrival of bassist Joe Keyser and drummer Bobby Beaulac prior to recording 1998's Step-Up debut release "Progressions Towards Evil" in 1998. The album scored high marks with both fans and critics, and constant touring behind acts like Mortician and Incantation led to a deal with relapse records.
