The Game's Over Lyrics

So many people choose
To give themselves up to
Defeat before the game's over
You're looking detached
You have a feeling that
Standing in the bathroom will show herI know that you are headstrong
I know that you don't want me now
Besides you wouldn't last long
You know i'll wait
Because how
Because how i like you
She's coming over, i'd say,
From looking at you that way
You're blending right into the wall
If someone tried to hurt you
I never would desert you
All the way i'd shake my head and callI know that you are headstrong
I know that you don't want me now

Besides you wouldn't last long
You know i'll wait
Because how
Because how i like youI won't have you believe
It's something that isn't real
I know how it makes you feel
You always seem so relieved
You think it's so natural
But infact it's so peculiar
So peculiar
I know that you are headstrong
I know that you don't want me now
Besides you wouldn't last long
You know i'll wait
Because how
Because how i like you
I know that you are headstrong
I know that you don't want me now
Besides you wouldn't last long
You know i'll wait
Because how
Because how i like you

PLUMTREE was a quartet from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Formed in 1993 when the sisters Carla Gillis and Lynette Gillis met up with Amanda Braden and Nina Martin, Plumtree quickly established themselves as one of the more original young bands in Canada. Catriona Sturton replaced Martin on bass later on. The band quickly developed a highly collaborative songwriting method which combined catchy melodies, a serious approach to writing music and solid instrumentation. Plumtree split up in 2000.
