The Great Unknown Lyrics

All lovers in the night
Look up and see the dawn
Reach out into the light
Before you travel on
All you have to do is smile for me
Lonely days will disappearAll lovers of the world
We thought we had it all
Reach out and touch someone
Across the great unknownAll you have to do is smile for me
Lonely nights will disappearPromises are soon forgotten
Watch them falling one by one
Nothing stays the same forever
See the years go on and on they flyWe'll wait for the day
Changing our ways
All over the world
Reach out for someone
All over the worldAll you have to do is smile for me
Lonely nights will disappear

All of my lifeLovers of the world...

Barclay James Harvest are an English progressive rock band. They were founded in Saddleworth, Yorkshire, United Kingdom, in September 1966 by John Lees, Les Holroyd, Stuart "Woolly" Wolstenholme (1947–2010), and Mel Pritchard (1948–2004). They are best-known for their first four albums released in quick succession from 1970-1972. The Barclay James Harvest story begins in the early sixties in the Oldham area of North-West England. John Lees and Stuart “Woolly” Wolstenholme met at Oldham Art School, and formed a band called The Sorcerers, which evolved into The Keepers.
