The Heart Has Its Reasons Lyrics

It isn't easy to stay when your friends tell you go
When your heart tells you 'yes' but your head tells you no
And though we searched for a compromise
Looked in each other's eyes for answers
The die had been cast we were all out
Of last second chancesAnd the heart has its reasons, I know
A time and a season an ebb and a flow
You were waving goodbye I was saying hello
I don't understand it
But the heart has its reasons, I knowAnd who knows why it went wrong between you and me
Suddenly we weren't the people that we used to be
I was building a bridge between as
You were building a wall
And the whole thing crumbled and tumbled
In the eye of the stormAnd the heart has its reasons, I know
A time and a season an ebb and a flow
You were waving goodbye I was saying hello
I don't understand it

But the heart has its reasons, I know
