The Letter Lyrics

In your letter
you told me you'd be home soon
In your letter
you told me just how you've been doing
Your letter said
you couldn't wait to be home,
but that's not how you sounded
on the phone

Formed in Portland ME, in the early 90's, the Rustic Overtones gained popularity with funky horn-infused jams and a rock solid, rock-ready style. In their 9 years together, the band gained a passionate following with their high energy live set, tirelessly touring college campuses and local clubs up and down the east coast, sometimes playing close to 200 shows a year. Their last show, a career spanning two and a half hour set, closed out the Overtone era at the State Theater in Portland on May 11, 2002.
