The Lord Lyrics

Play you a songWhat do you get for trying?
Minute you're born, you're dying
Body is six feet down
The Lord said the soul sticks aroundYou can believe what you wanna
But I know what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna believe in the Lord
You can believe what you wanna
But I know what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna believe in the LordYou think you live on laughter
But you don't know what's after
Singing hallelujah
I can know the masterYou can believe what you wanna
But I know what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna believe in the Lord
You can believe what you wanna
But I know what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna believe in the Lord, yeahWhen my life is over
Lie in fields of clover

Waiting for my own girl
Living in a new world, yeahWell, you can believe what you wanna
But I know what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna believe in the Lord
You can believe what you wanna
But I know what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna believe in the LordWhat do you get for trying?
Minute you're born, you're dying
The body is six feet down
The Lord said the soul sticks aroundWell, you can believe what you wanna
But I know what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna believe in the Lord
You can believe what you wanna
But I know what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna believe in the LordYou can believe what you wanna
But I know what I'm gonna do
I'm gonna believe in the Lord
I'm gonna believe in the Lord

The Bee Gees, originally made up of three brothers: Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb (died 2012), and Maurice Gibb (died 2003), have been successful for most of their 40-plus years of recording music. They had two distinct periods of exceptional success: as a pop act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and as a foremost act of the disco music era in the late 1970s. The Gibb brothers were born on the Isle of Man, UK to English parents in 1946 (Barry Alan Crompton Gibb, September 1) and 1949 ( twins Robin Hugh Gibb and Maurice (pronounced "Morris") Ernest Gibb, December 22).
