The Lottery Song Lyrics

You could do the laundry
I'll come by on Monday
You give me the money
I will buy a ticketOn the local lottery
We could win the lottery
We could go to Vegas
And be very happyI could be a plumber
We could wait till summer
We could save our money
Have a fine vacationWe could buy a trailer
If we bought a trailer
We could go to Vegas
And be very happyIf life is just gamble
Gamble if you want to win
Life can be so easy
Let the wheel of fortune spinWe could make a record
Sell a lot of copies
We could play Las Vegas

And be very happyIf life is just gamble
Gamble if you want to win
Life can be so easy
Let the wheel of fortune spin

Harry Edward Nilsson III (born June 15, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York - died January 15, 1994), sometimes credited simply as Nilsson, was an American singer-songwriter with a three octave vocal range. He won Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary Male Vocal Performance for "Everybody's Talkin'" (1970) and "Without You" (1973), also his two biggest hits. Although both the aforementioned songs were composed by others, he was a talented songwriter in his own right, having written "One", a hit single for Three Dog Night.
