The Moonbeam Song Lyrics

Have you ever watched a moonbeam as it slid across your windowpane
Or struggled with a bit of rain or danced about the weathervane
Or sat along a moving train and wondered where the train has been?Or on a fence with bits of crap around its bottom
Blown there by a wind beam who searches for the moonbeam
Who was last seenLooking at the tracks of the careless wind beam
Or moving to the tracks of the tireless freight train
And lighting up the sides of the weathervane
And the bits of rain and the windowpane
And the eyes of those who think they saw what happenedHave you ever watched a moonbeam as it slid across your windowpane
Or struggled with a bit of rain or danced about the weathervane
Or sat along a moving train and wonder where the train has been?Looking at the tracks of the careless wind beam
Or moving to the tracks of the tireless freight train
And lighting up the sides of the weathervane
And the bits of rain and the windowpane
And the eyes of those who think they saw what happened

Harry Edward Nilsson III (born June 15, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York - died January 15, 1994), sometimes credited simply as Nilsson, was an American singer-songwriter with a three octave vocal range. He won Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary Male Vocal Performance for "Everybody's Talkin'" (1970) and "Without You" (1973), also his two biggest hits. Although both the aforementioned songs were composed by others, he was a talented songwriter in his own right, having written "One", a hit single for Three Dog Night.
