The Night I Fell In Love Lyrics

Hey, I keep going over and over it again in my mind
I get these flashbacks and uh I feel so good, yeah
And this is one night that I'll never forget
You see it was just like in the movies I mean it actually happened
Just like thisYeah, the stars were shining
Brighter than most of the time
Then love came out of nowhere, yeah
No thrill will ever be like
(The night that I fell in love)I tenderly remember
(The night that I fell in love)
It surely was the best thing I ever did that night
(That night when I fell in love)
The stars were in your eyes
(The night that I fell in love)
With you, heyOoh, I've known so many people
Been to most parts of the world
And seen some things that have blown my mind
Yes I have but nothing will ever be like

(The night that I fell in love)I tenderly remember
(The night that I fell in love)
It surely was the best thing to happen to my life
(That night when I fell in love)
The star's light were in your eyes
(The night that I fell in love)
With you, heyOh, yes
Oh baby what else
At nightOoh yeah, I thought I could be happy
Without any love in my world
But now I know that, that is so untrue, yeah
No thrill will ever be like
(The night that I fell in love)I tenderly remember
(The night that I fell in love)
Yeah, it surely was the best thing to happen my life
(That night when I fell in love)
The star's light were in your eyes
(The night that I fell in love)
With you, heyAll I can ever do is think about that night
That night, that night
All I can ever do is think about that night
That nightAll I can ever do is think about that night
That night, that night
All I can ever do is think about that night
That night, that night
All I can ever do is think about that night

Luther Ronzoni Vandross (April 20, 1951 - July 1, 2005) was an american soul and rnb singer whose career spanned four decades.

In the 70s, he worked as a backing singer Chic and for David Bowie (on the Young Americans album). He later found success as a solo artist with Superstar and A House Is Not A Home.

In the 80s, Vandross was a vocalist on early Change singles (Searching), whilst continuing his solo career with such releases as "Never Too Much", "Power Of Love/Love Power", "If Only For One Night", "Here And Now".

In the 90s, he was more famous for duets with Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey (amongst others), than for his solo work.

It was an ongoing battle with his weight that may have ultimately proved his undoing. He suffered a stroke in 2003, from which he never really recovered, and died in 2005.

During his career, he sold 25 million albums and won eight Grammy awards including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance four times. He won four Grammy awards in 2004, including the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for the track "Dance With My Father," co-written with Richard Marx.
