The Pedlar Lyrics

The Pedlar arrived on a cold day
With no one to call on and no one to stay
Considered the dream that may become
To stand on the bridge until his body felt numb
Cause everywhere
People swarm it's hard to frame through them
Till the stranger approached him
And his dream came true
The Pedlar decided it was deja vu
The Stranger was shocked and said 'I feel like I know you'And everywhere
Roses grow?
Spend their time?
You wonder if the vultures approve
You look at them, looking at you
And rainy days when the sky looks blue
You're at the window changing the view
But your luck is gonna turn
The turn is gonna come

And soon you'll be a saint to someoneThe Pedlar departed on the third night
He thought of the Stranger as he walked in the moonlight
He savored the touch of the unknown
Thinking too much on the way back home
And everywhere shadows moved across the landscape
His heart beholded what the Stranger had told him
'? from your failed dream
Go gather the stream and begin to digAnd everywhere
People go to gossip and greed now
Be careful where all the trinkets are free now
If that's the way you live and die
No children here exporting the crime
A rainy day is as warm inside
In the cottage where the spirit resides
You used to light your candles in wait
Now look at you you're making you're way

Polvo is an influential noise rock band of the 1990s from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA. The band was fronted by guitarists/vocalists Ash Bowie and Dave Brylawski. Eddie Watkins played drums, and Steve Popson played bass guitar. The band reformed in 2008 with Brian Quast assuming drum duties. Their sound is defined by complex and dissonant guitar harmonies and driving rhythm, complementing cryptic, often surrealist lyrics. Their music was considered unpredictable and angular and sometimes the guitarists were accused of failing to play with correctly tuned guitars.
