The Prisoners Song Lyrics

The Prisoner's Song
Seems forever since I've seen the sky
I've been in darkness for so long
Half of me says yes, half says no
It's not worth me holding on
'Cause all my life, their discontent
Has been like rain comin' down on me
All my life, their quick judgement
Has been like rain comin' down on me
In my memory, I'm young and strong
So naive and full of faith
Much too young to know what freedom was
When I threw it all away

'Cause all my life, your discontent
Has been like rain comin' down on me
All my life, your quick judgement
Has been like rain comin' down on me
Kingdoms rise and kingdoms fall
Yet things still stay the same
We're just prisoners of it all
When there's no one left to blame
'Cause all my life, my discontent
Has been like rain comin' down on me
All my life, my quick judgement
Has been like rain comin' down on me
