The Sound of Your Heart Lyrics

I love the sound of your heart [x7]I can't believe that you're angry with me
Oh the shades come down to expose your frown
An the silence tears us apartAnd I said to myself
This must be bad for my health
Oh my heart it strains when it says your name
But it's not open to anyone else
No it's not open to anyone elseIf I fall down at your feet
Would you still walk out on me
If I fall down at your feetI love the sound of your heart
I love the sound of your heartAnd I can't pretend
That it's my fault again
But you press play at the easy part
And we all know how it will end
Oh yeah we all know how this will endIf I fall down at your feet
Would you still walk out on me
As I silently retreat
In the dark I hear you speak
Am I hot am I cold

I don't know I don't know
But I love the sound of your
I love the sound of your heartI'm afraid
That you might just run away
And your heart beats out like a search light
And it's calling out my nameI love the sound of your heart [x7]If I fall down at your feet
Are you still in love with me
As I silently retreat
In the dark I hear you speakAm I hot am I cold
I don't know I don't know
But my heart it fades
Like a spark in the day
And the silence tears us apartI love the sound of your heart
I love the sound of your heart

Eskimo Joe is alt-rock band from Fremantle, Western Australia comprising Kavyen Temperley (bass/vocals), Joel Quartermain (guitar/drums) and Stuart MacLeod (guitar)
The group initally formed to compete in the National Campus Band Competition in 1997. Temperley and Quartermain were already in a band at the time, Freud's Pillow, but had met with little success and asked Temperley's childhood friend MacLeod to form a new band, which became Eskimo Joe. The band ended up winning the competition prize: a slot at the 1997 Livid Festival and a session in a studio to record their first EP, Sweater.
