The Tide Raises Every Ship Lyrics

hey, i've lost everything,
now i've gotta find a way out,
hey, they keep asking me,
where i was when it was burning, there's no trying to explain,
they'll lock me up again,
throw away the key,
the protagonist became,
the villain they disdain,
in every way, hey, i've lost everything,
but i'm gonna find a way out,
hey, nothing's left for me,
except malady and hatred,no evidence was found,
they'll let me go for now,
at least 'til tomorrow, hey, when tomorrow brings the morning sun again,
i'll be long gone,
now, as i travel away and leave the past behind,
i think i'm dying,it's so profanic,
i hate you so much, but i still miss you,

karma is hard to take,
when everything you do and say is awful,
remorse is hard to fake,
when you only feel sorry for yourself,i'm coughing up more blood,
it's filling up my lungs,
it's killing me,hey, when tomorrow brings the morning sun again,
i'll be long gone,
dead, lying all alone on this motel room floor,
i know i'm dying, (i know i'm dying,)hey, well i've lost everything,
now, i've succumb to grace,
hey, well it's not that suprising,
i'm here on roses everyday.

Silverstein is a 5-piece rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada; formed in 2000. The band name was taken from the famous children's author Shel Silverstein. After several lineup changes, the band acquired Billy Hamilton, a local fan who learned of the band's need for a bassist on the Internet message board "The 905 Board" (an Ontario area outreach board which used to be for local musicians). In Christmas of 2001, he joined the band after Shane Told helped him learn the music for the songs. Following a rehearsal on Boxing Day (December 26) in 2001, he officially debuted with Silverstein.
