The Voice of Reason Lyrics

Nothing ventured, nothing gained
Tired and washed out by the pain
Do we share this problem, will it slip away?
Do we fight another day?Was I looking for a friend?
One I count on 'til the end
Is there something that I didn't do?
Does it all begin with you?So how did I, oh I
Give you reason?
How did I, oh I
Give you reason? After all the fallen tears
When we wake the token dream
Who let the water slowly draw away?
All the colors that we madeSo how did I, oh I
Give you reason?
So turn and walk away
How did I, oh I
Give you reason? To give you reason, to change the river's flow
To give you reason, to point the bone

To give you reason, to set your spirit free
I don't know, I don't know whySo how did I, oh I
Give you reason? Is there nothing I can say?
Is there nothing I can do, girl?
I didn't mean to break your life
Didn't mean to burn your world, noHow did I, oh I
Give you reason?
How did I, oh I
Give you reason? You can keep the silver band
You can have the memories, girl
Now as Pilate cleans the hands
It's no more to do with me, noHow did I, oh I
Give you reason?
How did I, oh I
Give you reason?Oh, let the voice of reason say

There is more than one band named Asia.

1) Asia is a progressive rock supergroup formed in the spring of 1981 by bassist and vocalist John Wetton (from King Crimson and Uk), guitarist Steve Howe (from Yes), drummer Carl Palmer (from Emerson, Lake & Palmer) and keyboardist Geoffrey Downes (from Buggles and Yes).

The band sold over nine million albums worldwide with their first self-titled Asia, that include the singles Heat of the Moment and Only Time Will Tell.

In 1990, Asia released its 4th album called Then & Now and only Geoffrey Downes continues with Asia along with bassist, vocalist and producer John Payne until 2004 when they published their 11th album Silent Nation, along with guitarist Guthrie Govan and drummer Chris Slade (from AC/DC).
The band emerged from its ashes commemorating the 25 anniversary of the original formation that brought it success in 1982 with a tour of North America, a DVD and a promotional CD.

Asia returned in 2008 with its first original album from the original line-up with "Phoenix" April 15, 2008, which was followed by a well received tour.

2) Asia was an excellent progressive hard rock band with epic and pomp rock hints. The band is from South Dakota (US) and should not be confused with the famous UK one. They released 2 albums: Asia (1979) and Armed to the Teeth (1980)
