The Way I Am Lyrics

This may come as shocking news
I don't wanna be like you
I'm not afraid of standing out
Don't belong in a crowdI don't act like I'm all that
Don't think I'm better than you are
Still you wanna hassle me
Just 'cause I'm following my heartI've tried to fit into what
Other people think that I should be
But now I found the only way
To make me truly happySo many ways to go, I choose to use my own
And you don't have to understand
Because it's up to me and up to me alone
And you can't change the way I amJust a girl showing off is what you see
I just do what's right for me
Wont imitate anyone else
You be them, I'll be myselfDon't get me wrong 'cause I have respect
How other people choose
How to live their lives but I

Deserve that respect too, ohSo many ways to go, I choose to use my own
And you don't have to understand
Because it's up to me and up to me alone
And you can't change the way I amSo many ways to go, I choose to use my own
And you don't have to understand
Because it's up to me and up to me alone
And you can't change the way I amOh oh, oh oh
Just a girl is what you say
Showing off but you just wait
You ain't seen yet just what
I have got, no, no, noJust a girl is what you heard
Showing off [Incomprehensible]
You ain't seen yet just what I have got
(What I have got)So many ways to go, I choose to use my own
And you don't have to understand
Because it's up to me and up to me alone
And you can't change the way I amSo many ways to go, I choose to use my own
And you don't have to understand
Because it's up to me and up to me alone
And you can't change the way I amOh and you can't change the way I am
Oh and you can't change the way I am
