The Way It Was Lyrics

I don't know how, but nights get lonely now
They keep appearing in my eyes
Such a warm and tender glow
For just one moment I remember allThe love we had was never all that bad
There were smiles and there were tears
On that special starry night
With your arms around me, held on tightWasn't that the way it was?
Two strangers reaching for a worthless cause
Wasn't that the love we shared
Or just the restless years when no one cared?I don't know why it's hard to say goodbye
Or even justify the end
You meant so very much to me
Then to let you go, start my life againThe love we had was never all that bad
There were smiles and there were tears
Till that special summer day
When I reached out for you, you just walked awayWasn't that the way it was?
Two strangers reaching for a worthless cause
Wasn't that the love we shared

Or just the restless years when no one cared?

Enjoy the lyrics !!!

The Bee Gees, originally made up of three brothers: Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb (died 2012), and Maurice Gibb (died 2003), have been successful for most of their 40-plus years of recording music. They had two distinct periods of exceptional success: as a pop act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and as a foremost act of the disco music era in the late 1970s. The Gibb brothers were born on the Isle of Man, UK to English parents in 1946 (Barry Alan Crompton Gibb, September 1) and 1949 ( twins Robin Hugh Gibb and Maurice (pronounced "Morris") Ernest Gibb, December 22).
