The Way You Used to Do Lyrics

When I first met her she was seventeen
Seventeen
Jump like an arsonist to a perfect match
Burned aliveWe run 'til no one could find us
Girl, we outrun everyoneBut it doesn't matter now
Just come and love me how
Like the way you used to do
YeahIs love mental disease or lucky fever dream?
Fine with either
Gave birth to monsters who will terrorize normalcy, yeah
They'll terrorize
If the world exploded behind us
I never noticed if it done
Let nobody dare confine us
I'll bury anyone who doesBut it doesn't matter now
Just come and love me how
Like the way you used to doNow
The way you used to doMy heart, a ding-a-ling

A puppet on a string
C'est la vie
So lay your hands across my beating heart, loveIf the world exploded behind us
I never noticed if it done
Let nobody dare confine us
I'll bury anyone who does
But it doesn't matter now
Just come and love me how
Like the way you used to doUsed to do
Like the way you used to do
Come and love me now
The way you used to do
The way you used to do

Queens of the Stone Age is a rock band from Palm Desert, California, United States. The band is frequently labeled stoner rock, although they reject the label. QOTSA developed a style of riff-oriented, heavy music which the band's founder and mastermind Josh Homme described as 'robot rock', saying that he "wanted to create a heavy sound based on a solid jam, just pound it into your head". Since then, their sound has evolved to incorporate a variety of different styles and influences.
