The Winter Tree Lyrics

Met a man with the answer to everything
Books and words from philosophers come
Analyzed and he cut down a winter tree
To find the sunFell asleep, had a dream by the winter tree
Heard the snow fall and melt into spring
Saw the ice lose its hold on the
Pale frost grass to which it clingsHave you ever seen a better day?
Though we follow many different ways
Though your mind may hold the winter time
Spring is never very far behindIn the summer, under open skies
We'll see the sunshine, shine on
Take it easy, live today, today
We'll see the sunshine, shine onWhen I woke there I was, by the winter tree
Nothing changed but a thought in the air
Seasons turn, take their days
And in time, I'll take mine, I'll go back thereHave you ever seen a better day?
Though we follow many different ways
Though your mind may hold the winter time

Spring is never very far behindIn the summer, under open skies
We'll see the sunshine, shine on
Take it easy, live today, today
We'll see the sunshine, shine onIn the summer, under open skies
We'll see the sunshine, shine on
Shine on, take it easy, live today, today
We'll see the sunshine, shine on

There are 7 artists/bands under the name of Renaissance: 1) A British progressive rock band - The first incarnation of Renaissance came out of the ashes of The Yardbirds in early 1968 when drummer Jim McCarty and guitarist/vocalist Keith Relf formed an acoustic based band. They added keyboardist John Hawken, bassist Louis Cennamo and vocalist Jane Relf (Keith's sister). This band released two albums (Renaissance (1969) and Illusion (1971)) before breaking up. Some of the members reformed as Illusion.
