The Wish Lyrics

Me, I'm a simple man
A man of simple means
I wish I had a girl like you
To help me with my dreams'Cause, me, I'm just a simple man, now
Don't want much from life
But if I had a girl like you
You'd help me sleep at night, now
Ooh yeahWish I had a girl like you
So I'd know just what to do
If I had a girl like you
I'd know just what to doI'd know just what to doBaby, maybe, baby
You might understand, that you're just
You're driving me crazy now, so
Won't you take my hand?'Cause every night I get on my hands and knees
And I beg the Lord above, now
To send me down a girl like you, now
I need someone to loveWish I had a girl like you
So I'd know just what to do

If I had a girl like you
Honey, I'd, I'd know just what to doI need a little magic in my life nowWish I had a girl like you
So I'd know just what to do
If I had a girl like you
I'd know just what to doI wish I had a girl like you
I'd know just what to do
Baby, if I, now, had a face just like you
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I said, yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah
Wish I had a girl just like you

Eddie Money (born Edward Joseph Mahoney, March 2, 1949 in New York City, United States) is an American rock singer-songwriter who found success in the 1970s and 1980s with a string of Top 40 hits and platinum albums. Rock impresario Bill Graham said of Money "Eddie Money has it all...Not only can he sing, write and play, but he is a natural performer." After becoming a police officer, like his father, during the late 1960s, Money began to be interested in music, and eventually ended his law enforcement career in favor of becoming a musician.
