The Wolf Lyrics

I didn't trust him, 'cause he smiled at me first
Just like the wolf before he bites me
And I didn't go there I swear that it was cursed
Just as if it was to despite meI saw some better days, from Beijing to Hunter Place
A portrait of the sum of the last couple years
See I lost an image, an image of chaos
All I've ever known is isolation and pain?I'm on the verge of losing everything, every single day
In all this deadly drama you know I see myself fall
I've been confusing, a lost canyon, consuming it allAnd I didn't trust him, 'cause he smiled at me at first
Just like the wolf before he bites me
And I didn't go there, I swear that it was cursed
Just as if it was to despite meSo I may be antisocial and shy, and yo I found myself a job
But I journey and complain, through incredible odds
Is this simple things I guess, a delicate balance
I never really thought I could make it all happenNow the anarchist kid gives a fuck about you
I stood up every single time that I fell
It's just you, it's just you consuming it allAnd I didn't trust him, 'cause he smiled at me first
Just like the wolf before he bites me

And I didn't go there, I swear that it was cursed
Just as if it was to despite themAnd I didn't trust him, 'cause he smiled at me first
Just like the wolf before he bites me
And I didn't go there, I swear that it was cursed
Just as if it was to despite meYeah

Rancid is a punk rock band which formed in Berkeley, California, United States in 1991. The band consists of Tim "Lint" Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Lars Frederiksen (guitar), Matt Freeman (bass) and Brendan Stieneckert (drums). The band has released seven albums: "Rancid" (1993), "Let's Go" (1994), "...And Out Come the Wolves" (1995), "Life Won't Wait" (1998), "Rancid" (2000), "Indestructible" (2003) and "Let the Dominoes Fall" (2009). The band originally consisted of Armstrong, Freeman (both former members of Operation Ivy) and drummer Brett Reed, with Frederiksen joining in 1993. Reed left in 2006 and was replaced by Stieneckert.

To date, Rancid has released seven studio albums, one split album, one compilation, two extended plays, and a series of live online-only albums, and has been featured on a number of compilation albums. The band has independently sold over four million records worldwide,[4] making it one of the most successful independent punk groups of all time. The band rose to fame in 1994 with its second studio album, Let's Go, featuring the single "Salvation". In the following year, Rancid released its highly successful album ...And Out Come the Wolves, which produced its best-known songs "Roots Radicals", "Ruby Soho" and "Time Bomb", and was certified gold and platinum by the RIAA, selling over one million copies in the United States alone. Its next four albums, Life Won't Wait, Rancid, Indestructible and Let the Dominoes Fall, were also critically acclaimed, though not as successful as ...And Out Come the Wolves. Rancid is currently working on an eighth studio album, which is said to be recorded in September 2011, and expected to be released in 2012.
