Then Days Went By Lyrics

Leave me alone
I ain't fucking with nobodyKeep fucking with me you gon' turn me back to booboo
Had me casing out your crib tryna pop your fucking noodles
She was 20, I was 12, man, my nana said she raped me
I just smiled from ear to ear saying, "Take me baby, take me"Since high school, nigga I ain't got no friends
Got 2 .380's like the Ying Yang Twins
That's spot clicking 'til the D's run in
Then it's bail money and lawyer fees you got to have itRest of year I had that CBR Hurricane
And an I'll hair an' bone I got 'em slingin' heroin
I shoot a nigga in a heartbeat, I ain't no chump
Then you can run Forrest run retard when I dumpThey take kindness for weakness, niggas don't respect that
So me, I'm with that Ruger that Pump and that Tec at
So look at me I'm on that I thought we was rich then
Shipment, you had like 20 bricks in RichmondWe was in cocaine heaven I was fish scale dreamin'
We just got in the town, we was strapped up schemin'
First Country caught a body then, Country caught a body then
I popped a couple niggas then Country shot everybodyIt's cold blooded it's real shit you got to love it
Three-eight Snub it and don't think nothing of it

It's the way of the wolves, that's how they train us to move
Get it poppin' when we shoppin', niggas hold down the toolsI see niggas gettin' rich
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
I was tired of not having shit
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went byI see niggas getting hit
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
We were swinging that shit
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
Here I amUnsure since we was little niggas, son since we was 7
Armed robbery, first degree, my man did seven
Niggas popped his whip up, hit his Camry with seven
He a lucky motherfucker, I bet he make it to heavenMy grandpa drunk my uncle Rob drunk
My uncle Champ bombed crack smoked my fuckin' stash up
I had two hundred and fifty grams stashed on the porch
I mean how much you gon' smoke man, how much you gon' snort?First the VCR went then the TV went
He stole out of mommy purse she thought it was me, kid
I ain't ask for no money son 'cause I was out hustlin'
She was lookin' at me sideways like I'm a thief or somethin'That hurt me, come on son, that wouldn't hurt you
I pistol whip that nigga 'til his face was purple
I need anger management, see I hold on new broads
The same way I hold on to that nickel plate SnubThe Lord don't have imperfections, baby
So I think I'm perfect the way he made me
Some say I'm cool, some say I'm crazy
Some say I ain't shit, some say I'm amazingI see niggas gettin' rich
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
I was tired of not having shit
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went byI see niggas getting hit
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
We were swinging that shit
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
Here I am

Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1975 in South Jamaica, Queens, New York), better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is a Grammy award nominated rapper, actor, singer, entrepreneur, author and founder of the hip hop group and label G-Unit. After leaving drug dealing to pursue a rap career, he released his debut album Guess Who's Back? in 2002. He was discovered by Eminem and Dr. Dre and then signed to Interscope Records. He has since released 2003's Get Rich or Die Tryin', 2005's The Massacre, 2007's Curtis and 2009's Before I Self Destruct.

50 Cent has engaged in feuds with other rappers including Jay-Z, Ja Rule, The Game, Cam'Ron, Fat Joe, and Rick Ross. He has also pursued an acting career, appearing in the semi-autobiographical film Get Rich or Die Tryin' in 2005, the Iraq War film Home of the Brave in 2006, and Righteous Kill in 2008. 50 Cent is one of the richest hip-hop performers, having a net worth estimated at US $440 million in 2008.

Before 50 Cent ever inked a major deal, he built up a substantial fan base in New York through underground mixtapes. 50 Cent met up with Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC and was signed to his label to write all of Jay’s music. After he’d left JMJ, he signed to Columbia Records in 1996. On this label, he released Power of the Dollar, and the singles How to Rob and Ghetto Qu’ran. Columbia Records released him from the label after being shot on May 24th, 2000.

Around this time, Eminem had heard one of 50 Cent’s demo tapes and expressed a huge interest in him on MTV, as did Dr Dre. Shortly after this, 50 Cent officially signed to Interscope Records. He was the first rapper to sign to the joint label owned by Dr Dre and Eminem. The first song he released on this record was entitled Wanksta and was featured on the 8 Mile soundtrack.

In its first week of release, his debut ”Get Rich Or Die Tryin’” sold 872,000 units - easily reaching Gold status. Within the second week it went Platinum (1 mil) and on April 12th, 2004 the RIAA certified it six times Platinum.

In 2005 he followed the success of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ with a new release - The Massacre (originally called St. Valentines Day Massacre until the release date was pushed back). The first single released off this, Disco Inferno, was a huge hit - he followed this hit up by the release of Candy Shop and then again with Just a Lil Bit.

In 2003 Interscope allowed 50 Cent to have his own label - G-Unit records. He first signed Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck as the established members of G-Unit. In 2004, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent had signed The Game under a joint venture.
