Then Days Went By (Produced By Lab Ox) Lyrics

This is how monster's functionLeave me alone
I ain't fuckin' with nobodyKeep fuckin' with me you gon' turn me back to Boo Boo
Have me casin' out your crib, tryna pop your fuckin' noodles
She was twenty I was twelve, man my Nana said she raped me
I jus' smiled from ear to ear, sayin' take me baby take me
Since high school, nigga I ain't got no friends
Got two Three-Eighty's like the Ying Yang Twinz, ah
That's spot clickin' till the D's run in
Then it's bail money and lawyer fees you got to have ends
Freshman year I had that C-B-R Hurricane
In a ill Herringbone I got 'um swingin' Heroine
I shoot a nigga in a heartbeat I ain't no chump
Then you can run Forrest run retard when I dump
They take kindness for weakness, niggas don't respect that
So me I'm where that Reuger, that Pump and that Tech at
Some look at me I'm on now, I thought we was rich then
Shit man, but you had like, twenty bricks in Richmond
We was in Cocaine heaven, I was fishscale dreamin'

We jus' got in the town, we was strapped up schemin'
First Country caught a body, then country caught a body then
I popped a couple niggas, then country shot everybody
It's cold blooded, it's real shit you got to love it
Tre-Eight Snub it, and don't think nuttin' of it
It's the way of the wolves, it's how they train us to move
Get it poppin' when we shoppin' niggas hold down the two'sI seen niggas gettin' rich
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
I was tired of havin' shit
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
I seen niggas gettin' hit
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
We was slingin' that shit
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
Here I amYeah
I was ? since we was little niggas son since we were seven
Armed robbery, first degree, my man did seven
Niggas popped his whip up, hit his can we were seven
He a lucky muhfucker I bet he make it to heaven
My Grandpa drunk, my uncle Rock drunk
My uncle Champ pump crack, smoked my fuckin' stash up
I had two-hundred and fifty grams stashed on the porch
I mean I'm what you call smoke man, I'm what you call snort
First the VCR went, then the T.V. went
He stole outta mommy purse, she thought it was me kid
I ain' ask her for no money son cause I was out hustlin'
She was lookin' at me sideways like I'm a thief or somethin'
That hurt me, c'mon son that wouldn't hurt you
I pistol whip that nigga till his face was purple
I need anger management, see I hold on to a grudge
The same way I hold on to that nickel-plate SnubThe Lord don't have imperfections baby
So I think I'm perfect the way he made me
Some say I'm cool, some say I'm crazy
Some say I ain't shit, some say I'm amazin'I seen niggas gettin' rich
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
I was tired of havin' shit
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
I seen niggas gettin' hit
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
We was slingin' that shit
Then days went by, then days went by, then days went by
Here I am

Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1975 in South Jamaica, Queens, New York), better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is a Grammy award nominated rapper, actor, singer, entrepreneur, author and founder of the hip hop group and label G-Unit. After leaving drug dealing to pursue a rap career, he released his debut album Guess Who's Back? in 2002. He was discovered by Eminem and Dr. Dre and then signed to Interscope Records. He has since released 2003's Get Rich or Die Tryin', 2005's The Massacre, 2007's Curtis and 2009's Before I Self Destruct.

50 Cent has engaged in feuds with other rappers including Jay-Z, Ja Rule, The Game, Cam'Ron, Fat Joe, and Rick Ross. He has also pursued an acting career, appearing in the semi-autobiographical film Get Rich or Die Tryin' in 2005, the Iraq War film Home of the Brave in 2006, and Righteous Kill in 2008. 50 Cent is one of the richest hip-hop performers, having a net worth estimated at US $440 million in 2008.

Before 50 Cent ever inked a major deal, he built up a substantial fan base in New York through underground mixtapes. 50 Cent met up with Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC and was signed to his label to write all of Jay’s music. After he’d left JMJ, he signed to Columbia Records in 1996. On this label, he released Power of the Dollar, and the singles How to Rob and Ghetto Qu’ran. Columbia Records released him from the label after being shot on May 24th, 2000.

Around this time, Eminem had heard one of 50 Cent’s demo tapes and expressed a huge interest in him on MTV, as did Dr Dre. Shortly after this, 50 Cent officially signed to Interscope Records. He was the first rapper to sign to the joint label owned by Dr Dre and Eminem. The first song he released on this record was entitled Wanksta and was featured on the 8 Mile soundtrack.

In its first week of release, his debut ”Get Rich Or Die Tryin’” sold 872,000 units - easily reaching Gold status. Within the second week it went Platinum (1 mil) and on April 12th, 2004 the RIAA certified it six times Platinum.

In 2005 he followed the success of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ with a new release - The Massacre (originally called St. Valentines Day Massacre until the release date was pushed back). The first single released off this, Disco Inferno, was a huge hit - he followed this hit up by the release of Candy Shop and then again with Just a Lil Bit.

In 2003 Interscope allowed 50 Cent to have his own label - G-Unit records. He first signed Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck as the established members of G-Unit. In 2004, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent had signed The Game under a joint venture.
