There's No Such Thing Lyrics

Things I thought I knew don't seem to say much
I thought I knew you, but I don't mean much
Your love's not what you say
You have to think of things to say
Ah but things don't work that way
Baby there's no such thing ah!
Baby there's no such thing ah!You go out without me and I wonder
And you say it's fair, baby no wonder
You tell me that you think you're mine
That you're coming home tonight.
Ah but that's not quite all right
Baby there's no such thing ah!
Baby there's no such thing ah!And if you think I just don't care
And if you think I'll always be there.Things I thought I knew don't seem to say much
I thought I knew you, but I don't mean much
You're asking me to compromise
But I've just begun to get wise
And I'm sick of all your lies

Baby there's no such thing ah!
Baby there's no such thing ah!
Baby there's no such thing ah!
Baby there's no such thing ah!
(and fade).

Clifford Thomas Ward - Born 10 February 1944, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire — 18 December 2001 Clifford T. Ward typified the early 70s bedsitter singer-songwriter with a series of albums that were at best delightful and at worst mawkish. Ward left grammar school before A-levels to work as a clerk, but by 1962 was fronting local beat group Cliff Ward and the Cruisers. The group changed their name to Martin Raynor and the Secrets and made their recording debut for EMI Records in 1965, before recording several more tracks as the Secrets for CBS Records.
