These Days (Jackson Browne & Gregg Allman) Lyrics

Well I've been out walking
I don't do that much talking these days
These days
These days I seem to think a lot
About the things that I forgot to do
For you
And all the times I had the chance toWell I had a lover
I don't think I'll risk another these days
These days
These days I seem to be afraid
To live the life that I have made in song
But it's just that I have been losing
For so longThese days I sit on cornerstones
Count the time in quarter tones 'till ten
My friend
And now I believe I've come
To see myself againThese days I sit on cornerstones
Count the time in quarter tones 'till ten

My friend
Please don't confront me with my failure
I'm aware of it
