These Days (feat. Daz Dillinger) Lyrics

These days, you gotta be strapped
I'm already knowin' ain't nobody got my back
These days, you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claimin' Dogg PoundThese days, you gotta be strapped
I'm already knowin' ain't nobody got my back
These days, you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claimin' Dogg PoundI believe I got good skills
We been makin' music since we were kids
That's all I wanna do for life
Keepin' it real until the day I dieObstacles get in my way
Continue to mash and don't forget to pray
I keep my hand on my steel
Because I love my life and I always willWhatever people say to me
I take it in stride, I'm thinkin', 'Negro Please'
If you really don't know me
Then you best pack up, I suggest stronglyYes sir, this is DPG, 'til the day I D-I-E
For my L-I-F and E
No matter where I look that's all I see

And I knowThese days, you gotta be strapped
I'm already knowin' ain't nobody got my back
These days, you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claimin' Dogg PoundThese days, you gotta be strapped
I'm already knowin' ain't nobody got my back
These days, you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claimin' Dogg PoundMany women cling to me
Is it because they see me on BET
Everybody knows my name
All the police think I'm serving caneJealous niggas call us out
But I don't worry long as I hear their mouths
If ever they decide to kill
You better be prepared because I know I willOne thing I can guarantee
You don't wanna be standin' next to me
Before my final curtain call
I fore say, save anyone belowSo if we bump hits in the streets
Or even at some party
You niggas really can't see me
My request is that you stop trying
'Fore I let goThese days, you gotta be strapped
I'm already knowin' ain't nobody got my back
These days, you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claimin' Dogg PoundThese days, you gotta be strapped
I'm already knowin' ain't nobody got my back
These days, you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claimin' Dogg PoundEveryday, the 4, 5 stays erect for whoever
I bustin', takin' now, bowin' down never
Gotta watch my back for these coppers
As well as these niggas that I kick it with
They stick you faster than these bitches willSince I'm pimpin', everybody wants my riches
And I can't keep a dime from buyin' weed, actin' every time
I smoke constantly, you can't flinch me
From commitin' the murders so I chill and puff the herbWho gots my back? Nobody
Little John Gotti's blamin' niggas down at the homies party
All be goin' crazy, I guess we are bein' who we are
And they say the nigga's gotta be a starI gots to get mine and if I blast then it's my destiny
If I die then it was meant to be intentionally
Worryin', stressin', I'm guessin' no confession
When the murder take place, it was self protectionThese days, you gotta be strapped
I'm already knowin' ain't nobody got my back
These days, you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claimin' Dogg PoundThese days, you gotta be strapped
I'm already knowin' ain't nobody got my back
These days, you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claimin' Dogg PoundThese days, you gotta be strapped
I'm already knowin' ain't nobody got my back
These days, you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claimin' Dogg PoundThese days, you gotta be strapped
I'm already knowin' ain't nobody got my back
These days, you gotta be down
Who said it was easy claimin' Dogg PoundThese days, you gotta be strapped
I'm already knowin' ain't nobody got my back
These days, you gotta be down

Nathaniel Dwayne Hale (born August 19, 1969 in Long Beach, California; died March 15, 2011 in Long Beach, California), better known by his stage name Nate Dogg, was a Grammy-nominated American singer and occasional rapper. He was known especially for his one of a kind hooks and vocals, and like they say: "it ain't a hit until Nate Dogg spit". After serving in the US Marine Corps for three years he returned to California and formed the rap group 213 with his cousin Snoop Dogg and friend Warren G. He was soon signed to Death Row Records along with Snoop, and he made his debut on Dr. Dre's 1992 album The Chronic. Singing in what would later become his trademark style, he was well-received by fans and critics alike, and in 1994 he produced his first hit single "Regulate" with Warren G. Nate Dogg released his debut album under Breakaway Records in 1998 after a tumultuous time at Death Row Records. The double album was titled G-Funk Classics Vol. 1 & 2 and was followed up in 2001 with Music & Me on Elektra Records, 2002's Essentials and 2003's Nate Dogg. Also he was featured on the hit single 'Shake That' from Eminem's fifth studio album Curtain Call. Nate Dogg was a West Coast icon, and he tragically passed away on the morning of March 15, 2011. R.I.P. Nate you will be missed.
