They Never Will Know Lyrics

(m. crenshaw)Every room seems dark and cold
And you feel misplaced in a world that's old
Remember
They never will know
They don't know and they never will know
You shouldn't doubt yourself
What you've got you shouldn't hide
If you live that way you'll go dead inside
And remember, they never will know
They don't know and they never will know
Don't die inside
From your soul you've cried for every one
Who wants to run your life for you
But you know what they never will know
And the world is yours, it's true
On a day like this
Every room seems cold
And you feel misplaced and the world looks old

Remember, they never will know
They don't know and they never will know
You won't doubt yourself when you realize
All the strength I see there in your eyes...
Got to shake this gloom
It's in every room
Well, come on be smart. don't let 'em
Tear your heart in two
'cause you know what they never will know
And the world is yours, it's true
