Things Change (ft. Spider Loc & Lloyd Banks) Lyrics

N**** things, change, dem stay the same
Now watch me come up, I hustle, I hustle even harder
I put that work in to win, no problem
N**** things, change, dem stay the same
Now watch me come up, I hustle, I hustle even harder
I put that work in to win, no problemAll money ain't good money, this I know
But I still love hood money, I gets my dough
And as a youngster, a n**** went to so much church
And still turned out f***ed up, I did so much dirtChose to bang the neighborhood, I put in so much work
Did a whole lot of time, caused mom so much hurt
On every thang that boy wasn't gunned on purpose
Who knew that all my darkness was really gon' surfaceI was stuck on that bulls***, just runnin' the streets
Without some type of beef the week wasn't complete
It's like a n**** feel better after dumpin' his heat
On feet, just to see that body slumped in the seatWas like a whole nother rush to me, bustin' was sweet
Now I'm smarter, I'm all about somethin' to eat
I'm on the road, spend 30 days a month' in a suite
But I'm still gon' hustle and cheat, let's goN**** things, change, dem stay the same

Now watch me come up, I hustle, I hustle even harder
I put that work in to win, no problem
N**** things, change, dem stay the same
Now watch me come up, I hustle, I hustle even harder
I put that work in to win, no problemYeah, now walkin' down the block without ya weapon
Is a first cla** ticket to a lesson
I thirst cash, kick it to perfection, me and Bang got a connection
That's why I bring the Benz to impress him[Unverified] my zone, all alone homes rattle in my bones
'Cause he yappin' off his lips and if I hit him I'll be wrong
'Cause he ain't never gon' be s*** and I done worked so hard
But I will make you a corn on the cob, you'll be performin' for GodEither that or rob you on your boulevard
Bet you never thought for a second, n****z'd pull your card God
I'm on my job, scarred since my n**** gone
HP tatted on me so his memory lives onEngagin' in drama without your bomber'll
Be funeral arrangements for your momma
I learned that when I was in pajamas watchin' Michael and Madonna
Now I got the appetite of a piranha, n****N**** things, change, dem stay the same
Now watch me come up, I hustle, I hustle even harder
I put that work in to win, no problem
N**** things, change, dem stay the same
Now watch me come up, I hustle, I hustle even harder
I put that work in to win, no problemWhat nobody knows, all the roads you go through
You can't even talk to those that supposedly know you
Some of the levels that these people'll go to for crumbs
Damn, tell me, is this what that dough do?That's when you find yourself talkin' to Pro Tools
There's not too many that ever walked in the Loc shoes
Or tell the tale that my heart contains
I explain, so many different parts of painI'm clean but still some marks remain
From the past when that kush weed sparks the brain
The cash made some people start to change
I feel hate when I pulled up and parked the RangeYour damn right I got rich but my heart the same
And practice makes perfect with the art of aim
You ain't really got the heart to bang
You ain't start to hang 'til you found out I caught the chainN**** things, change, dem stay the same
Now watch me come up, I hustle, I hustle even harder
I put that work in to win, no problem
N**** things, change, dem stay the same
Now watch me come up, I hustle, I hustle even harder
I put that work in to win, no problem

Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1975 in South Jamaica, Queens, New York), better known by his stage name 50 Cent, is a Grammy award nominated rapper, actor, singer, entrepreneur, author and founder of the hip hop group and label G-Unit. After leaving drug dealing to pursue a rap career, he released his debut album Guess Who's Back? in 2002. He was discovered by Eminem and Dr. Dre and then signed to Interscope Records. He has since released 2003's Get Rich or Die Tryin', 2005's The Massacre, 2007's Curtis and 2009's Before I Self Destruct.

50 Cent has engaged in feuds with other rappers including Jay-Z, Ja Rule, The Game, Cam'Ron, Fat Joe, and Rick Ross. He has also pursued an acting career, appearing in the semi-autobiographical film Get Rich or Die Tryin' in 2005, the Iraq War film Home of the Brave in 2006, and Righteous Kill in 2008. 50 Cent is one of the richest hip-hop performers, having a net worth estimated at US $440 million in 2008.

Before 50 Cent ever inked a major deal, he built up a substantial fan base in New York through underground mixtapes. 50 Cent met up with Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC and was signed to his label to write all of Jay’s music. After he’d left JMJ, he signed to Columbia Records in 1996. On this label, he released Power of the Dollar, and the singles How to Rob and Ghetto Qu’ran. Columbia Records released him from the label after being shot on May 24th, 2000.

Around this time, Eminem had heard one of 50 Cent’s demo tapes and expressed a huge interest in him on MTV, as did Dr Dre. Shortly after this, 50 Cent officially signed to Interscope Records. He was the first rapper to sign to the joint label owned by Dr Dre and Eminem. The first song he released on this record was entitled Wanksta and was featured on the 8 Mile soundtrack.

In its first week of release, his debut ”Get Rich Or Die Tryin’” sold 872,000 units - easily reaching Gold status. Within the second week it went Platinum (1 mil) and on April 12th, 2004 the RIAA certified it six times Platinum.

In 2005 he followed the success of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ with a new release - The Massacre (originally called St. Valentines Day Massacre until the release date was pushed back). The first single released off this, Disco Inferno, was a huge hit - he followed this hit up by the release of Candy Shop and then again with Just a Lil Bit.

In 2003 Interscope allowed 50 Cent to have his own label - G-Unit records. He first signed Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck as the established members of G-Unit. In 2004, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent had signed The Game under a joint venture.
