This Life Lyrics

You've got no self-esteem
You think you're so mistreated
You can't stand your face, you cannot
Cannot believe that you cannot control your fateThis isn't what you wanted
Someone to break you down every motherfucking day
It's not the life you wanted
Someone to break you, someone to make youBruises on your face
I guess you fell down the steps again
And that's such a shame 'cause you let it
You let it happen over and over againThis isn't what you wanted
Someone to break you down every motherfucking day
It's not the life you wanted
Someone to break you, someone to make youIt's just another day
The last day he touches you again
But that's the price he'll pay
Pull the trigger, it all goes away in one determined flashThis isn't what you wanted
Someone to break you down every motherfucking day
It's not the life you wanted

Someone to break you, someone to make youPray! Pray! Pray! Pray!
Close you eyes, you better
Hold em' tight, you'll never
Don't keep telling yourself it'll be alright
Don't keep telling yourself it'll be alrightThis isn't what you wanted
Someone to break you down every motherfucking day
It's not the life you wanted
Someone to break you, someone to make youPray! Pray! Pray! Pray!
Close you eyes, you better
Hold em' tight, you'll never
Don't keep telling yourself it'll be alright
Don't keep telling yourself it'll be alright

Primer 55 is an American nu metal band from Louisville, Kentucky. The name originates from the combination of Primer, meaning "something that's unfinished," and 55, which refers to Interstate 55, "the road that drugs run on to get to Chicago through Memphis".

Primer 55 was formed in 1997 by guitarist Bobby Burns and vocalist J-Sin. The two met when J-Sin's previous band was the opening act for Burns' previous band. Burns' heavy metal music influences and J-Sin's hip hop influences melded to create the band's rap rock sound. Bassist Mike "Jr." Christopher and drummer Josh McLane were then added to complete the line-up.
