This One Lyrics

History been renamed, time have no friend
Who you a go warn, when the real war come on?
It's not we you have to warn when the truth bust outDem can't do nothin' 'bout this one
Dem can't do nothin' 'bout this one
Dem can't do nothin' 'bout this one
Dem can't do nothin' 'bout this oneMalcolm X, Garvey, Martin, Marley
Mohammed, Yesus Christ
Strive and free your life, don't play their games
Don't put your mind to waste, don't put your mind to wasteDem can't do nothin' 'bout this one
This is the one that is this one
Dem can't do nothin' 'bout this one
This is the one that is this one
Propaganda machine working overtime
Now more than ever on the younger minds
Don't just believe everything you see on the TV
Don't just believe everything you read in the magazineDem can't do nothin' 'bout this one
This is the one that is this one
I am the one that is this one

Dem can't do nothin' 'bout this onePeople have their place
Race has its pace
Each blow a the right one
Every blow carries a weightNo givin' up in I, I will keep the faith
No givin' up in I, fight them racist hate
No, no, no, no, no, no
You can't do nothin' 'bout it nothin' 'bout it
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
You can't do nothin' 'bout it
You can't do nothin' 'bout itDem can't do nothin' 'bout this one
This is the one that is this one
Dem can't do nothin' 'bout this one
I am the one that is this oneWe are the one that is this one
Dem can't do nothin' 'bout this one
Dem can't do nothin' 'bout this one
This is the one that is this oneIt a the right one, it a the real one
It a the right one, it a the real one

Ziggy Marley & the Melody Makers were a reggae group made up of four of Bob Marley's children: Ziggy, Stephen, Sharon, and Cedella. They formed the Melody Makers when they were teenagers in 1979, and recorded "Children Playing in the Streets" with their father. They went on to perform at their father's funeral in 1981. The band's popularity was at its highest during 1988, prompting a major record deal with Virgin Records.
